I pulled these mama images off of Pinterest. They are so beautiful to me (especially that last one;)! I also found a few quotes for Mother's day weekend...
“A mother knows what her child's gone through, even if she didn't see it herself.”
― Pramoedya Ananta Toer, Gadis Pantai
“The best way to keep children at home is to make the home atmosphere pleasant, and let the air out of the tires.”
“It's come at last", she thought, "the time when you can no longer stand between your children and heartache.” <<this one makes me instantly tear up, but I do love this quote!
― Betty Smith, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
“The great motherhood friendships are the ones in which two women can admit [how difficult mothering is] quietly to each other, over cups of tea at a table sticky with spilled apple juice and littered with markers without tops.”
"She is my first, great love. She was a wonderful, rare woman - you do not know; as strong, and steadfast, and generous as the sun. She could be as swift as a white whiplash, and as kind and gentle as warm rain, and as steadfast as the irreducible earth beneath us."
― D. H. Lawrence
As a mama, all of these hit right home. Motherhood has been the biggest adventure, the most difficult job I have had and that which has made me feel the deepest love. Props to you if you're a mama! Cherish your mother- she went through labor and changed your diapers, you know. ;)
So beautiful! Great words and images.
