Organized Chaos

Aug 30, 2011

Staying organized AND also looking out for baby is no small fete.

That's why I have had to re-evaluate my obsessive need for organization and cleanliness. HA. When Madeline was first born I felt like my world was falling apart b/c I couldn't clean or straighten up the mess that was quickly building. It took me a couple of months to realize that my high standards and old ways of keeping up with things around the house had to change.

I guess I would say my new approach can be called "organized chaos".
definition: A situation or place that seems to be in chaos, but has an underlying organization and pattern which is evident to those involved in the situation (thank you, urban dictionary...that is exactly what I mean).

That being said, I am still looking for organizational inspiration. One day I hope to have a home where I can accomplish some of the following...

How my organized chaos will work with any of these ideas, I really have no clue. I do love to be inspired though!

  1. Thanks for becoming the newest follower over at Nap Time Is The New Happy Hour. So glad to have you :)

I love this post. This is exactly how I felt with I first had C. I am starting to finally getting the swing of things and had to let my OCD crazy organized side go. It was hard but I have found my balance...finally. Good luck. It takes a while.

  3. I can totally relate. I love your find on the desk/office set up! My office could be the picture example of your definition of organized chaos. But I like that. Everything off the desk and floor! Thanks for sharing the inspiration

  5. These pictures make me swoon and laugh at myself. I dream of the day I wake up and feel completely organized. I used to be a pure slob. And now that I have my own place, I respect it and try my best to keep it up. However, seeing that "green" closet made me LOL. Mine doesn't look like a closet @ the moment. More a giant hamper. I hope your week was a good one and your weekend is even better! :)
