Talk about a college flashback. We took a walk around my sister-in-law's college campus a couple weekends ago and it made me feel really nostalgic. Its not that I yearn to be a college student again, per se. I just feel like it was yesterday that I was pulling into college as a bright eyed freshman ready to take on the world (or something like that).
I can't believe I graduated over three years ago.
I am getting old. Does anyone else feel this way?
I mean, honestly. My little sister just left home for her first year in college. I thought she just had her 13th birthday...like the other day.
As I watch my little baby Madeline growing and changing each day I am really reminded to live in the moment. One day I will be dropping her off at college, sobbing inside, thinking..."wasn't it just yesterday that I held you for the first time?".
*holds back tear* AH! I am being "emo", as my husband likes to call it. I have just been thinking about life and the meaning of time a bit more these days. I guess becoming a mother, where nothing is about me anymore has seriously changed my perspective on a lot of things.
-our lovely walk on campus-
Don't let a day pass you by without honestly being able to say that you lived the heck out of it, because one day you will wish you had.
Live. Love. Laugh.
I totally agree with this post! Time seemed to drag as a kid, but now it's FLYING!! :)
