K to the i to the m-o-n-o. I'm making one happen this Fall...asap. I have yet to find one that I love. Well, no that's not true. I have found plenty, but none that fit the budget. ;) I am on the constant look-out though! Believe you me.
Now, just because I don't have a kimono yet doesn't mean we can't talk about styling one...
Tip 1. LESS IS MORE
I love simple (no way!), so this black + neutrals look is spot-on in my book. Simply throw on dark denim, a white tee, printed kimono (or shawl) & booties...done.
Tip 2. DISTRESSED & DAINTY
If there's one thing Devon of Devon Rachel pulls off, it's feminine looks with that perfect bit of edge. The floral kimono softens the look of the distressed denim...and the tassel necklace?...it's the cherry on top.
Tip 3. DRESS IT
Pair a simple form-fitting dress or maxi dress with a fun, patterned kimono. It doesn't hurt to also add some booties.
Tip 4. GO TRIBAL
Gosh, I love Free People and their boho/tribal/hippie vibe. It's funny, because their style just started to grab at me. Maybe becoming a mama brought it out of me?...needing realistic and casual, yet trendy outfits these days. Hmm. Anyways...braid your hair, throw on some corduroys or wide leg denim and finish the look with a completely awesome tasseled kimono.
Tip 5. COZY UP
Wear a pretty kimono over your comfy clothes around the house (adding a mug of coffee or tea makes it even better!). If I'm at home...I'm in my pjs or lounge wear, so...a kimono would be that that perfect way to still feel dainty and at least half-dressed ;).
& that's that, my friends. Please do share if you wear a kimono already or are on the look-out for one like me...!

I am curvy and short, so the volume of kimono as jacket is tough to pull off. I need a visible waist. But I can do kimono as wrap dress! with belt!
