Mix small town atmosphere (even though it is actually right outside the big city of DC) with warm fuzzies and you've got Kensington.
My mom, two sisters (the last of 6 chillins left at home actually) and I took a nice walk along Antique Row in Old Town Kensington. I MADE sure we went before my trip was over ( I would have cried if we hadn't).
Aside from my family, obviously, this is what I miss the most and think of when I am feeling rather sad & lonely- the quaint little town that I used to call home.
I know that no matter where I go in life, I will always, ALWAYS venture back to this place. I imagine myself as an 80 year old woman walking down these streets, reminiscing about the 'good old days'.
Home, family & Kensington are etched into my heart and there they will always stay.
I am sure you all have a place you love as well. Share!! Would love to hear about it.
your little one looks just like you! :)
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to visit those shops! I live in central VA and I've been disappointed with the "antique" shops around here. Crazy expensive! I'm putting Kensington on my "must stop in" list!
