a Kate Middleton in Stella McCartney & Cartier Olympics-inspired Necklace Look

Jul 27, 2012

(Yes, that is a 12 word title. SEO utilization. Don't hate ;)

With the 2012 Olympics being held in London, I have been talking Brit all week...& loving it.
So...I saw a picture of Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge wearing this lovely steel blue Stella McCartney dress and Cartier necklace to an Olympic exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery.
I knew I had to give it a go.

However, I do not have the budget for a $7800 Cartier stunner or anything Stella.
I improvised.

the outfit

Cartier/Olympics-inspired necklace ($4- made by me, DIY tutorial?)
Marshalls navy blue dress ($14.99)
Target black kitten heal (19.99- oldies)

I have a Q for you.
Do you want more Brit in your life next week?
Let me know b/c I can keep going with this.
Forever.

  6. I'm not a huge Kate Middleton fan (I think she's taking unhealthy measures to be unhealthily skinny - it just doesn't look natural on her like it does on you). Your outfit is tres chic, though, it so beats hers!
