the Moo's outfit: top-Old Navy//jeggings- Target//shoes-Carter's |
Having a child makes everything old seem new again.
It's as if you get to relive your childhood, in a way.
Exhilarating, yet thought provoking for me.
Moo sees the world so innocently.
She hasn't yet experienced anything really negative.
All she sees is the good, the awe-inspiring and the exciting.
She finds joy in the simplest things that she comes across!
It makes me wish and strive to see things the same way.
I'd like to say that I take every opportunity to do so, but that would be a lie. a big fat one.
There are many days when I let my tainted and not so exuberant view of the world get in the way.
That, of course, does nothing for me...or my family as a whole.
Seeing and experiencing the world the way a babe does is really something to aspire to.
No one can escape all of the bad, even if they try, but it is possible to live life with joy.
The good can be seen WAY more than the bad, but...only if you actively choose to see it.
I choose to.
At least, I choose to try :).
ps. last year's pumpkin patch trip ...when my hair was much cooler.
*we got to pick out our own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch at Hodges Farm! Great place. I really recommend going there if you live near or around Charlotte, NC*
so adorable! great photos.

So true, sweet innocent babes can teach us so much!
ReplyDeleteYes and they continue to do so for a very long time. You're in for a great ride, do enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI love the look in a child's eyes when they are discovering something new. Moo is a doll - love her ponytail!
ReplyDeleteWe went to the pumpkin patch last week and I couldn't help but get teary-eyed thinking about when we visit for the first time w/the baby.
Beautiful post!
Xoxo
