I think what I actually miss the most is getting dressed for it.

I was just going through my old IG photos and...gosh...some of my favorite outfits have been ones I've worn to that place...

and yes, unabashedly snapped selfies of in that mirror every time.
(can you blame a mama?!)

I'm actually loving that I did take those pics now.

It reminds me, as I sit here in holey work-out pants (no, I did not work-out), a true messy bun and uggs, that I do actually have the ability to look nice.

 lol. 

After babe #2 is pretty much weaned and I can bear to leave him for longer than an hour -ha-, I hope to get back to work at Summerbird.

Life has that way of changing from year to year though.

Summerbird Consignment | my weekend mommy job

This is my getaway...errr...I mean weekend job. ;) I've shared a bit of it before, but I just can't get enough of this place. So...I'm sharing mas!

I love it. Love it. The decor, location and consignment pieces are all terribly cool. I could just sit there for hours, soaking it all in. I have to restrain myself from buying something every time I work- it's a tough task, my friends.

If you live in the Charlotte area, definitely head in to Summerbird sometime. You'll end up loving it as much as I do. I can pretty much bet on that. Plus- there's a Starbucks right down the road, so it's pretty much a win win situation.

The night actually seemed doomed from the start. HA. Here's the story... I forgot to RSVP...aaaand then I forgot to leave the car-seat for husband so that he could get Moo home from his sister's after he got off of work. Aaaahhh. So FUN. I made it though!...frazzled and barely able to walk in my 4 in. heels (seriously, how do women do it all day??).  Woo! Kallah came along as my HOT plus 1 (MaternityShmernity post coming Thurs). 
So...let me give you the low-down on Neiman's latest launch and the whole reason we were there- Cusp. Basically, it's the new contemporary concept by Neiman Marcus. It's aim is to hand deliver the latest must-haves from leading designers, plus the best up-and-coming names-- Rachel Zoe, Joie, Alice + Olivia etc. The section is suuuuper hip and can definitely satisfy that get-it-before-anyone-else craving.  Oh yes, it's definitely still high-priced. It's Neiman's. So...it's high-end and therefore worthy of the price tag.  I just probably won't be doing the get-it-before-anyone-else thing. lol. ;)

Spring is awesome for so many reasons...one being barbecues.  We had our 1st of the season over at the bestie's - with root bear, burgers, smashed potatoes (via, made by this lady)...and lots of laughter thrown in.  There's something about "springing forward" and the change in weather that sparks something new in me. As rough and sometimes very upsetting life can be, I always have the Spring to look forward to. It's as if I'm granted a new beginning every year- a fresh start....& this time I plan on taking full advantage of it. I want to go on a real adventure with my little fam, try something new and...just soak up the sweet in life. 
I love it. Thank you, God for Spring. For realz.

the All-American Basics (+ my 1st music video)

A tee & jeans. The basic all-American look. I LOVE it.

They are my favorite things to throw on...especially if I'm busy around the house, need to run errands or just don't feel like thinking at all. You know...those days. 

While its perfectly acceptable to just wear a tee and jeans, it's almost just as easy to knock the look up a notch by adding-on some other simple basics. 

Let me show you how, lovaaahs.

 So let's give them a boost...

very simply.

My favorite way to boost the basic tee & jeans is to simply add a tailored blazer + pumps for  a more sophisticated look.

You can add some fun accessories for a little pizzazz.

Lastly, you can't go wrong with adding bold colored flats and a colorful scarf. 

So yah. See. Easy peazy. 

You have no excuse. Actually, no...you still do if you're a mama. I get it.

I still urge you to try out these tips just once!

It may just help you feel a bit more put together on those crazy days :).

a pair of Christian Diors (that I will never wear again).

Working at Summerbird is the best thing. Ever.

One reason being, I get to put together outfits...like this holiday party look.

Truly mod, eh?

FYI: I would have added black nylons, but I don't usually carry any on me.

Please do envision them being there, covering my pale leg skin.

The heels. Yeh, I know.

How does anyone walk in such monstrously high contraptions?

I slipped them on, tried walking, failed & promptly took them off (after a quick photo opp, of course)

My toes were screaming at me, "Whyy, Camille? Whyyyyy?"

Beauty is pain...I guess.

The truth is that they may have been half a size too small.

I wore Dior (for 5 min.) though!

Christian Dior just has no place in my budgeted closet.

Kind of semi-sad, but the plain truth of the matter.

All that being said, considering that you can easily spend $800+ on a pair of Diors, this is a steal for all those in the market in the Charlotte area! 

As for me,  I will continue on in my Target 2" heels...

& I am so ok with that.

The boutique being Summerbird, an upscale consignment shop, here in Charlotte, NC...

it's my new mama friendly part-time job!

I am in love already.

I was a tad bit nervous on my way there, because I was running the shop that day (my very first day working there. Ever).

The decor is simply darling. I could sit there all day (or for all of my shift anyways).

The accessory display is lovely, right? Look at the scarves on the mannequin!

When it got veryyy slow I started trying to get artsy w/ instagram. Product: a reflection of the back of my head. So artsy.
