A ball cap, sweatshirt...& the entire neighborhood parked behind me.

Nov 12, 2013

THE LOOK:

Maharaja Fringe Strand necklace || Baublebar
crew-neck sweatshirt || Old Navy
polka dot button-up || F21, similar
boyfriend maternity jeans || A Pea In the Pod via Ebay, similar
Chuck Taylors || Converse via Ebay

Yehhhh, I'm pregnant. I got this Old Navy sweatshirt a couple sizes up thinking, "Oh, it'll totally work this entire pregnancy. Totaaaally". Try again, Cams. If my belly grows out any farther, which it's bound to...it's over for this sweatshirt. At least until the bump goes bye bye. Still! I have been able to wear it several times this Fall and have loved it- oober comfy and goes with tons (at least I pretended it did).

Now, let's talk about that hat. Herringbone + ball cap combined. What's not to love? My husband also digs a gal in a baseball cap, so helloooo. Win win. I think he especially loves it when the lady has a big belly to go along with it too. At least, that's the word on the street.

That was just my second outfit post for the week. Whaaaaat? That's some kind of record for me. Maybe I was feeling excited and inspired...and maybe I had a little more energy than usual. Don't get used to it. I am now worn out and will be resuming my usual 1 outfit/week routine. ;)

Peace. Love. Donuts. Really...I'm going to go eat some donuts now.

PS. I did a little blog shoot with a local Charlotte photographer, wearing the same hat and sweatshirt (b/c they're awesome). I wanted to share a couple snaps from our session...

If you're looking for a photographer in the Charlotte area, definitely check her out! As you can see, she does lovely work.

converse chucks: styled 5 ways for Fall

Aug 26, 2013

1. | 2. | 3.? | 4. | 5.

Yeh, I can't stop wearing my chucks. Just can't. So...I looked around good ol' Pinterest for ideas on wearing them this coming Fall. I came across these loverly styling ideas and thought I'd share them with you!

Tip 1. DENIM SKIRT
The new transitional trend for end of Summer to Fall...the denim pencil skirt. Give it a casual, comfy look with those chucks.

Tip 2. LAYERED
Layer it all up with a tee, button-up and jacket. Layers and chucks = yes.

Tip 3. SWEATER DRESS
Uh. Cute. Why not? It's a great look for the in-between cool and chilly phase.

Tip 4. BLAZER
A bit of sophistication with the casual, cool look of chucks. Oh yah. It's the perfect thing for running around in this Fall.

Tip 5. MAXI DRESS
Yes...yes, yes & yes. Take chucks to another level of cute by wearing a simple maxi dress with a denim jacket over top. Done.

I'll be trying...oh...all of these.

Happy Monday!

thredUP used clothing challenge | outfit #4

Jul 18, 2013

ThredUP outfit #4 is here!
If you've been following along since Monday, you know all about the awesomeness that is ThredUP and the used clothing challenge I have taken on with them this week. If you missed it, you can get caught up here, here & here.
Last night we went to this homemade ice cream parlor about 5 min. from our house...delish does not even begin to describe how good it was (it was Moo & I's first time).
Mads got covered...and I do mean covered...in ceam ceam. At first I tried to clean-up as she went, but then ended up giving up on her. She was too far gone. ;)
Oh yum.

Jul 8, 2013

It's true! Sweet baby D #2 is on the way!! :) Due date: January 7th, 2014. WOW. Every time I think about it I'm amazed that it's really happening again...that there's another squiggly little baby growing inside of me. What a precious gift...the gift of an unborn life...a life and soul that has been placed into our hands to care for, protect, love & teach. It's exciting and overwhelming all at the same time.

I'm 14 weeks which means I have made it out of the first deadmester trimester. I actually can't complain too much (even though I definitely still did), because I was one of those lucky ones that escaped any real nausea. I know, I know...you hate me. Ha. I did, however, experience severe exhaustion coupled with headaches. I haven't accomplished much of anything these past few months...except for growing a baby, of course. ;) I am just now starting to get some energy back and I am totally cool with that. Bring on the honeymoon period, babay!

My heart is over flowing. I feel a deep love and connection with the little babe inside of me already...even though he/she is only the size of a lemon. It doesn't matter though. I believe a mother's love for her child begins to grow at the moment of conception...and then just bursts at delivery :).

AAAHHH! Who will this little one be? What will they look like? Will they be as loud and stubborn as Moo?? Lol. I just can't wait to meet him/her! Speaking of meeting them, I am thinking about a natural delivery. What I really mean is that it probably won't happen, but I am giving it a thought this time around...instead of saying a flat "NO" like last time. Ha. I'd love for all of you natural delivery mamas to come in on this.

I get to be a mama again!

I am humbled.

wow.
